Passport to Earning (P2E) Initiative
The Passport to Earning (P2E) programme is UNICEF’s flagship skilling platform designed to empower youth aged 14–29 years, especially from marginalized communities.
- Provides free, job-relevant skills
- Connects youth to employment and social impact opportunities
- Operates as a Public-Private-Youth Partnership (PPYP) under Generation Unlimited
- Since October 2022, P2E has skilled 4 million learners in India, with 50% being young women
- Focuses on learning-to-earning pathways, especially for young girls and tribal youth
Current Opportunities
Two distinct roles are available under the P2E programme, offering professionals and volunteers the chance to contribute to youth empowerment in India.
1. Individual Consultant P2E Skilling Programme
- Duty Station: New Delhi (home-based with office visits)
- Contract Duration: 24 months
- Contract Type: Consultancy
- Eligibility: Open to National Consultants only (Indian citizens or residents)
Responsibilities include:
- Managing programme activities and ensuring timely submission of deliverables
- Coordinating with UNICEF offices and partners for meetings and reviews
- Supporting documentation, reporting, and knowledge-sharing processes
- Ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s mission to empower disadvantaged youth
- Visiting UNICEF office premises when required for consultations and updates
Application Requirements:
- Cover Letter (max 2 pages) outlining motivation and fit
- Updated CV highlighting relevant experience
- Financial Proposal using UNICEF’s official template

2. UNV Programme Associate Adi Yuva Fellow (P2E)
- Location: New Delhi, India
- Duration: 12 months
- Category: National UN Volunteer Youth
- Eligibility: Exclusively for candidates from Scheduled Tribe communities (ST certificate required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support planning, coordination, and implementation of P2E activities
- Manage multiple programme platforms (LMS, dashboards, MIS systems)
- Coordinate with implementing agencies for youth mobilization, course enrollment, skilling, and placement support
- Strengthen interventions focused on tribal youth development
- Document success stories, case studies, and lessons learned
- Assist in organizing review meetings, field visits, and promotional events
- Collaborate with UNICEF/YuWaah teams for knowledge sharing
- Promote volunteerism and support the UNV Buddy Programme
Volunteer Entitlements:
- Monthly Voluntary Living Allowance (VLA): INR 51,969.20
- Entry Lump Sum: USD 400 (equivalent in INR)
- Relocation Costs: USD 200 (if duty station is outside commuting distance)
- Exit Allowance: INR 5,413.46 per month served, paid at contract completion
- Insurance: Comprehensive health, life, and malicious acts coverage
- Annual Leave: 2.5 days per month
- Access to UNV’s learning and career development resources
